A man is in hospital in a critical condition after falling from flat

A man is in hospital in a critical condition after he fell from a block of flats in Hoxton.

London Ambulance turned up at the scene, on Underwood Street, at around 7.15am.

A man, who was described as in his early 20s and black, was tragically found on the ground.

“We were called to reports of a fall from height at 7.13am at Underwood Street, N1 today,” said a spokesperson for London Ambulance.

“We sent the medical team from London’s Air Ambulance in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene, with the first of our staff arriving in under four minutes.

“We treated a patient for head and chest injuries and took them as a priority to a major trauma centre.”

Sharon Pusey, who works in a nearby building, told The Sun: “I got to work at about 8.20 and police were here.

“It must have happened in the early hours.

“They’re very expensive apartments. Fairly well-off middle class people live there.”
