Funeral of former England manager Graham Taylor held in Watford

A legend-studded gathering of football greats turned out in Watford today (Wednesday) for the funeral of former England manager Graham Taylor, who died last month.

The funeral, held in St Mary’s Church, saw footballing legends including Sir Alex Ferguson arrive to pay their respects alongside Taylor’s family.

Footballers including Tommy Smith and Alec Chamberlain also attended.

Taylor, who also managed Lincoln and Aston Villa, was in charge of Watford twice.

Music by Buddy Holly, one of Taylor’s favourite artists, was played at the service.

A private committal service was due to be held later today.
