If you’re a big Star Wars fan, then you’re in for a treat this year: original costumes, including one of Darth Vader’s suits, will be on show in the O2 in Greenwich from mid-November onwards.
A minimum of 200 original props from all seven of the films will feature in the show.
The items have been loaned by the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which was set up by the franchise’s creator George Lucas.
The BBC reports that other items of memorabilia on show will include:
– The bikini worn by Princess Leia in the Return of the Jedi
– The robot R2-D2 costume
“This exhibition offers a fresh perspective on the beloved characters of Star Wars,” said Jacques-Andres Dupont, President of X3 Productions (which is creating the show).
“We get a deeper understanding of their identities, and, at the same time, we get a deeper understanding of our own.”
The exhibition opens on 18th November and has toured both Europe and Canada in recent years.
