Man sought by police after student digs burgled in Tower Hamlets

Detectives in Tower Hamlets are looking for this man in connection with a robbery of a student accommodation block.

Police were called on Friday 9th September to the Chapter student digs building in Nido Tower, Frying Pan Alley – near Liverpool Street station.

A man removed the cash till in the cafe then walked off, and when challenged on a later return simply said he was from head office.

Police said the suspect is a “slim black man, 5ft 8ins tall with short black hair, a black beard and wearing a black and white camouflage vest and dark trousers.

“He was described as having a glazed expression by those who saw him,” police added.

And DC Sol Hamid, leading the investigation, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone can identify the man shown in the footage or the image released, or anyone who witnessed the incident.”
