Men interviewed by police after pepper spray havoc at City Airport

Two men have been interviewed under caution by police after a chemical alert at London City Airport last week.

The men are suspected of possessing pepper spray after a scare led to the closure of the airport on Friday.

Around 500 people were evacuated and some unfortunately suffered breathing difficulties. 25 people were treated by paramedics, and two had to be taken to hospital.

The men are aged 47 and 32 and were not arrested.

The incident is not considered to be terror-related.
