The average nightly rate for accommodation for four people in Tower Hamlets is just £151, compared to £226 in Westminster.

“The popularity of Tower Hamlets and Hackney is down to good transport links, trendy reputation and competitive rates: factors prized by millennials, the people most likely to book Airbnb,” says My Property Host MD Elena Lopez.

“But as Airbnb’s popularity increases among families and business travellers the map is likely to be redrawn. Larger Zone 2 and 3 homes will appeal to families and we expect City properties to do well with corporate travellers.”
