Police look into “unexplained death” of a woman in Battersea flat

Police and paramedics were called in at just after 2.20pm on Wednesday, but the pensioner was pronounced dead in her flat at 3.00pm.

The Met police spokesman said that her death is yet unexplained, but Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were present.

Her next of kin have been told and a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

No arrests have yet been made.
