Police need help after an 81-year-old pensioner was sadly killed in collision

Police need your help after a fatal car accident in Bexleyheath earlier this month claimed the life of a pensioner.

81-year-old Beryl Chenery was knocked over by a silver Ford Fiesta on Townley Road just after 2pm on November 4th.

The woman driver stopped at the scene and London Ambulance Service arrived. Mrs Chenery passed away in hospital last week from her injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Detective Constable Sally Robinson, the investigating officer from the Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Townley Road area on the afternoon of Friday, 4 November, who may have witnessed the collision.

“We would urge anyone with information to come forward.”
