Nine platforms at Britain’s busiest rail terminal will shut down for building works this August – and bosses are telling passengers to avoid the station.
The platforms at Waterloo mainline station will shut between the 5th and 28th of the month.
Train companies have told passengers to use different routes, work from home – or even go on holiday.

Clapham Junction, which serves Waterloo, will be running fewer trains than normal during Waterloo’s £800m upgrade.
“During this time we will not be able to run as many services as usual,” said leaflets handed out today.
“There will be significant reductions in services for some stations and a small number will be closed.
“The impact on your journey will vary depending on where and when you are travelling.”
Commuters were not happy.
