Teen charged with murder after death of 15-year-old Quamari in Willesden

Police investigating the stabbing of a 15-year-old in Willesden have charged a teenager.

Quamari Serunkuma-Barnes was stabbed outside a school in Doyle Gardens, NW10, on Monday. The 15-year-old boy charged was with murder and was due to appear at Willesden Youth Court today.

Alex Thomas, principal of Quamari’s school Capital City Academy, told local press: “Capital City Academy has been overwhelmed by the kind words and messages of support received today following a tragic incident after school yesterday which led to the death of a 15-year-old boy.

“We are deeply saddened by this death; it is undoubtedly a tragic loss of life. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and those who knew and loved him. He was positive about learning and had a bright future; he will be greatly missed by his many friends and the entire school community.”

Police appealed for any information.

“Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and continue to appeal for any witnesses to contact them on 020 8358 0200 or via 101 or by tweeting @MetCC,” they said.
