The Crayford chaos on the roads has been caused by a burst pipe

Over the last day or two we’ve brought you details of traffic incidents in Crayford, south-east London.

Now this photo, snapped by London Fire, show what’s been going on.

Over 12 vehicles were damaged when a water pipe burst in an underground car park underneath a block of flats near Townhall Square.

Cars were squashed and insulation is believed to have swelled, causing traffic disruption in the area.

The BBC reported that people who lived in the flats said they were told that a gas explosion could occur if the cars were taken out too quickly.
