A video from match.com was one of the most complained-about commercials of 2016, the Advertising Standards Agency has revealed.
The video shows a woman returning home from work when her partner removes her top. At the end, they are seen kissing.
896 complaints were submitted, but the agency said that “scheduling restrictions” meant the ad was not shown around programmes aimed at children.
Other highly-complained about ads included MoneySuperMarket’s #EPICDANCEOFF series, which saw a group of men take part in a dance-off with moves described by some as “sexualised”.
Videos from bookmakers Paddy Power, the Home Office and restaurant Gourmet Burger Kitchen also made the top ten.
None of the top ten most complained-about ads were banned.
