Police in Lambeth need your help after a man was seriously injured in the early hours of last Saturday during a scuffle on the South Bank.
At around 1.50am, officers were called to a 21-year-old man with head and facial injuries near York Road in SE1.
He said he had been the victim of assault by up to 12 males and females near the Shell Building. A similar incident with a different victim was reported to have taken place at 4.30am, and police enquiries revealed that several other events of this kind took place on the night.
“A 14-year-old female and a 15-year-old male were subsequently arrested on suspicion of GBH and ABH in relation to the above incidents. Both have been bailed pending further enquiries to dates in mid-December,” said police.
And Detective Constable Natasha Swan of Lambeth CID added: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed a group of up to 20 males and females, aged between 14 and 18, acting in an aggressive manner between approximately 23:30hrs on Friday, 21 October until around 04:30hrs the following morning.
“So far we are only aware of the one incident which resulted in serious injury but it is apparent this group intimidated and threatened people with their behaviour over a significant period of time.
“If you witnessed this group, or are a victim yourself, please contact us.”
